Overview
Eid prayer is a special congregational prayer performed twice a year - on Eid al-Fitr (after Ramadan) and Eid al-Adha (during Hajj season). It consists of 2 rakats with additional Takbirs. The exact number of additional Takbirs varies by school of thought. The prayer is followed by a Khutbah. It's Wajib or Sunnah Muakkadah depending on the school of thought.
When it is prayed
After sunrise (typically 15-20 minutes) until just before Dhuhr
