Common questions
- Which page should I open first: Witr, Tarawih, or Tahajjud?
- Start with Witr if you want the regular night routine after Isha. Open Tarawih if it is Ramadan. Open Tahajjud if you are asking about voluntary prayer later in the night before Fajr.
- Does any of this replace one of the five daily prayers?
- Jumuah replaces Dhuhr on Friday for those required to attend it. The other pages here do not replace the five daily prayers.
- Is Witr counted inside Isha?
- No. It comes after Isha, but it is a separate prayer. The site keeps it close to Isha because that is where it belongs in the nightly sequence.
- Is Tarawih only in Ramadan?
- Yes. Tarawih is the Ramadan night prayer. Tahajjud and other voluntary night prayers can be prayed outside Ramadan.
- Is Janazah counted like ordinary rakats?
- No. Janazah is not counted like a normal prayer with bowing and prostration. It is four takbirs with set supplications between them.
